Elizabete Aunina is a researcher at the Center for Internationanl Studies (CIS) with main research interests on the Middle Eastern politics, democratization in the Middle East and Islamist movements. She is pursuing PhD at the University of Amsterdam. She holds MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), as well as BA in Business (Law) and a minor in Communication from Arizona State University.
